Welcome to the Random Assortment that is the September Want List!
Be prepared. I’m simply throwing up an assortment of items I want without rhyme or reason.
Because leather is hot this season:
Okay, so these leggings aren’t technically real leather…but they look gorgeous and are vegan friendly! Plus they’re a steal at only $66!
This skirt is the real deal. Beautiful rust colored leather pencil skirt. Ideal for day to night transition.
Because I love a bit of sparkle?!:
Rock this silk and bead dress by Elijah to a holiday party…I might pair it with my octopus nylons… skin colored with black octopus silhouettes running up my calves. They almost look painted or tattooed on!
Because a girl always needs another pair of animal print shoes:
Cheetah ankle boots…want them badly! But at $425, they are a bit of splurge…I will pursue less expansive alternatives. Sigh.
Because a small mirror just won’t do when I’m strutting these new looks:
Been window-shopping mirrors for a while now…love this one, though I do feel as if it conjures up memories of Mrs. Havisham from Great Expectations…as though I should bear all the above looks while wrapped in a fur, lounging leisurely in a vintage armchair regaling the future youth with stories of my long-lost love(s).
Then again maybe it’s merely a beautiful mirror!

It’s been awhile since I updated my readers on The Fly Tower. So, what’s happening with that novel of mine, you ask?
–Finished my self-imposed June 30th deadline to complete the 2nd round of edits
–Added five chapters from a secondary point-of-view
–Received a sample copy-edit of the first chapter and made plans to have the editor rework the first five chapters before submitting to agents
–Compiled and read through the revised manuscript and made notes along the way to help with clean-up
-Ground to a blazing halt
I don’t think I even looked at the manuscript, BUT I did collect some additional research I decided was necessary after the last read through.
Minor progress at least
-Started a new round of edits
The revisions are coming along quite nicely. It’s my opinion my brain needed August to recoup in order to be really helpful to me again.
All in all, I’m two months behind. My new plan is to have the manuscript ready by mid-December, and start the agent query letters in November (though sending them will wait until the complete MS is ready). Somewhere between now and December, I still hope to have the copy editor rework the first 5 chapters. That’s all for now. 🙂
Easy reading is damn hard writing. ~Nathaniel Hawthorne
Sorry for the delay in posting! August was an insanely busy month. Whew! I look forward to a more relaxing September.
Now for the fun!
For my lost ’80s gamer days:
Yep, Tetris tights! So fun…there are very few occasions where I’d actually rock these leggings but to name a few…Comic Con, 80’s Dance Party at Canal Room…well, actually, I suppose the list goes on. 😉
For saying Goodbye to Matt Smith as Doctor Who:
It is sad to say goodbye but at least we have the anniversary and Christmas specials to soften the blow.
Just because it’s a jeweled octopus pillow:
For a glamorous night out, perhaps at a classic speakeasy with the bf in tow:
I love these JCrew ’20s inspired t-strap heels! I want, I want, I want…oh wait, did I say I want yet?!
And because Fall is on the horizon:
Adorable tights! Necessary for the cool days approaching.
The September Want List will be on time, I promise. Fingers crossed.
